Moonstone Cellars Story

Conceived in a basement overlooking Moonstone Beach (yes, hillside basements in Cambria can have nice views), Todd Clift and dad, Muril began making wine in 1998.

The hobby quickly got out of control, and blossomed into a full time passion.  Todd chucked his corporate job to become an apprentice at Harmony Cellars, just six miles south of Cambria.

Under the tutelage of a 21-year winemaker who has won over 500 awards, he worked through four crush seasons before releasing his first vintages.  

Todd proudly introduces his wines made from Central Coast grapes.  Moonstone Cellars now offers two styles of chardonnay, viognier, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel.  You’ll surely enjoy these varietals!

Come visit us at our tasting room in in the West Village of Cambria (just two blocks from the original hillside basement).  You may also call, write or place your orders over the Internet; or stop Todd on the streets of Cambria, and he’ll make sure you get your wine.  (Shipping within SLO County is free.)

Moonstone Cellars can also create custom labels for you.  For a small fee, wine labels can be printed for any occasion or purpose.
