Moonstone Cellars "OMG"
Sorbet
Combine 2 cups of water and 1 1/4 cup of
sugar in sauce pan and bring to boil. Remove from heat and let
cool. Add 1 1/4 cup of Moonstone Cellars Chardonnay (2004 or
2005 vintages) and a tablespoon of lemon or lime (we like lime) and
place in ice cream freezer. Follow directions of freezer until
mixture is frozen but not firm. Remove from ice cream
freezer, place in bowl and stir lightly to break down ice
crystals. Place in freezer compartment of refrigerator for about
two hours until firm.
Makes about one quart. If you double this recipe you have just enough Chardonnay left over from the bottle to enjoy while waiting for your sorbet to freeze. ;-)
