Chateau Moonstone Information

Thank you for staying with us!

This page covers the basics of what to expect upon arrival.

Checking In

Guest check-in is any time between 3pm to 5pm on the day of arrival. Early Check-In may be possible with prior notice and depending on whether the room is ready for occupancy.

Please check in with the staff in the Moonstone Cellars tasting room. You’ll receive an orientation of The Chateau from one of the staff members.

Late check-ins are possible with advance notice.

Please call 805-927-9466 or 805-909-1016 to notify us of a possible late check-in.

We will send you a “Late Check In Guide” that will serve in lieu of a personal orientation of the features of The Chateau.

Parking

Parking is available on the street in front of The Chateau’s brick stairway. Off street parking may be available by requesting it in advance. Most guests find it more convenient to park on the street.

Amenities

Sofa Bed

Please let us know if you will be using the sofa bed in the living room. There are linens in the bedroom closet, but if you need an additional mattress pad (recommended if adults will be sleeping on the sofa bed) please request it before you arrive so it will be available.

Please note that the pad is too thick (and comfortable) to allow the bed to close back to sofa mode and will have to be removed before closing each time.

Kitchen

There is a Keurig coffee maker on the counter with four servings each of coffee, decaf coffee, hot chocolate, and tea.  Creamers and sweeteners are also provided. Additional pods may be purchased in the Tasting Room or you are welcome to bring your own. A gallon of bottled water is also provided.

Bathroom

Soap (two small bars), and travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, lotion are provided for the first night’s stay. You should consider bringing your own personal care products for stays longer than two nights. There may be Q-tips, kleenex, make-up remover wipes, sewing kits, etc. There is also a hair dryer.

Also Available

There is an iron and ironing board. Laundry facilities on site may be used by request during business hours, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. Please let us know if you would like to use them.

No Pets Please

Although we love pets and allow them in the tasting room and on our patios, we cannot allow them to be in the Chateau. Our landlord stipulates this in our master contract. If we see or hear pets in The Chateau, you may be asked to leave without refund and/or pay an additional cleaning fee of $250.

Of course, service dogs trained to aid our guests for specific needs are always welcomed.

No Smoking Please

If anyone in your party smokes or vapes in The Chateau, you may be asked to leave without refund and/or pay an additional cleaning fee of $250.

Any smoking should be at least 50-feet from any part of the entire building.

There is a winery tasting room on the premises and smoke interferes with the customers’ experience.

If there is anything we can do for you, please let us know.

For any questions or to add on to your stay, please email us or give us a call at 805-927-9466.

We look forward to seeing you!

Cheers,

Todd Clift and the staff at Moonstone Cellars
